The backbone of Senior Solutions of Pinellas County is in seeing that clients receive quality service from whomever is providing the service. Working strictly on behalf of the client, Senior Solutions will respond to complaints, investigate the situation, discuss the complaint with the appropriate individuals, and support the client to achieve resolution of the matter. All clients of Senior Solutions enjoy having a personal, professional advocate on their side. Preventing additional problems is important to Senior Solutions. Advocacy for yourself or on behalf of a Senior loved one, is an effective and available tool.

Guardian Association of Pinellas County

This organization was formed in 1977 to help guardians understand and perform their responsibilities to their wards. A key role of this organization is in providing information pertaining to guardianship, and in promoting the education of guardians to enable them to perform their duties in a professional manner. The responsibility of being a guardian is not one that is taken lightly. Guardians can only be appointed through Court proceedings, where individuals are found to be incapacitated and unable to make sound decisions for themselves related to personal and/or financial matters. Guardianship is a critical component in meeting the needs of some seniors.

Letter to National Board of Medical Examiners

An article in the St. Petersburg Times describing physicians attitudes and behaviors towards their patients, inspired me to contact Dr. Peter V. Scoles, Senior Vice President Assessment Programs of the NBME. The article precisely targeted the need of the medical community to seriously address the issue of "bedside manner".
